Covid Protocols Announced by NHA

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR RACING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that following today’s confirmation that Horseracing in South Africa will resume on 1 June 2020, it has drawn up a COVID-19 Protocols document for racing behind closed doors.

In line with international best practice, this demonstrates how seriously The NHA considers the health and safety of all of the stakeholders and role players involved in our industry.

Further, the last race at each respective race meeting will be scheduled to END no later than 16:45, to allow ample time for horses to return back to their place of residence.

The NHA will continue to strive to make any further necessary amendments to this document, should it become evident that this action is required.

This document will be available on The NHA Website.
