TRAINER COMMENTS (Port Elizabeth 5 / 06 / 2020) from Nadine Rapson 

RACE 1 :

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 3 - ETERNAL HOPE & FIELD DANCER : Eternal Hope tries the 1400m, it is expected to suit and she will be competitive. Field Dancer is bred for this, she is a nice looking filly, will improve all the time and she can place.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 5 and 6 - STORYLAND, GIFT OF PEACE & LEADER OF THE PACK : Storyland is fit and well and should enjoy the extra. Gift of Peace is bred for this trip and can place. Leader of the Pack is expected to be at best over this type of trip so she could also place.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 4 - FLYING SQUAW : She has her first run and if not too green she will be doing her best work late.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 6 and 10 - GOODBYE LOVE & RUN FLORIST RUN : Goodbye Love is a nice filly. She is distance suited so further improvement off a good debut is expected. Run Florist Run ran over a trip way too short on debut, so up in distance here, she will improve.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 7 - GRANADILLA : Definitely enjoyed the break, she has come on, the distance will suit and I am hoping for a good run. She is expected in the first four.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 9 - MISS TIMPS : She is trying a bit further and we’re hoping for improvement.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 11 - SULTAN’S DANCER : First for yard, it will be a learning curve as though she is fit and working very well, the distance is a query, it could be a stretch.

RACE 2 :

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 3 - PURE QUALITY : He has his first run for the yard, he is a feisty fellow and I am hoping for improvement as prior to his most recent runs he actually had some decent form.
ALAN GREEFF - Number 4 - ANDREA : He is consistent and though probably at best on Poly, he can earn.
TARA LAING - Number 5 - PADDY’S LEGACY : He races off a long break and may need it.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 6 - AMAZING TUNE : First for yard, he is moderate and could prefer the Poly.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 7 - LORD MILBERRY : He has his first run as a gelding. He did need it and has been disappointing so we are hoping for improvement.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 9 - SILVER FOUNTAIN : She ran well on debut in her last and though against the boys here we are hoping she follows up.
JUAN NEL - Number 11 - HOMER FIDGET : He takes on older which will be interesting, but is fit and I am hoping for a positive run off a good debut.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 12 - OH HEAVENLY : She is holding form very nicely and should be right there.

RACE 3 :

SHARON KOTZEN - Number 2 - BLONDE BABE : She has her first start for the yard. Badly left in her last, draw a line through it, improvement is expected.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 3 and 6 - FOREST FIELD & WICKED GRIN : Forest Field has her first for the yard, she is a nice filly and has a quartet chance. Wicked Grin could be looking for a bit further now, but he could also manage quartets.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 4 - VARISTY BOURBON : He is very well in himself and working very well and if not just needing the run will be a big runner.
ALAN GREEFF - Number 5 - GO GOODFELLOW : He tries blinkers and will run a nice race.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 7 - TORRE DEL ORO : New to the yard, this will be a learning curve but he is fit and well, showing good work and racing off good form I am hoping for a decent effort.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 8 - HUMANITARIAN : He has his first run as a gelding. He is working well, is definitely capable of better than his last three results, so we are hoping he can put them behind him and improve.
TARA LAING - Number 9 - BEETHOVEN : He loves course and distance and must have a good chance.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 12 - ROYAL FORT : He really enjoys track and trip and should be knocking.

RACE 4 :

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 4 and 10 - ROCK ALOE, CALANDRA & AMERICAN PRINCESS : Rock Aloe can be temperamental but if all goes well he has a winning chance. Calandra is in good form and can earn. American Princess is new to the yard, she takes on the boys but is very well in at the weights and can run well.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 3, 6 and 7 - BHALTAIR, FIERY FORT, BENICARLO & BOLD STRIKE : Bhaltair is fit and well and should be thereabouts. Fiery Fort will enjoy the trip and Benicarlo is working well, but both take on stronger. Bold Strike has been building up and can be in the money.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 5 - WYLIE’S FLAME : She had excuses for her last grass run and though her stats may suggest she prefers Poly, we are expecting a good run from her running in good form.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 8 - KING CAPONE : He bumps a strong field but is super honest and always trying. His fair form is against weaker but he loves the trip.
TARA LAING - Number 12 - PALACE QUEEN : She tries the 2000m trip in a very strong field, she could perhaps place.

RACE 5 :

TARA LAING - Number 3 - MISS SMARTY PANTS : She ran a very good race in her last and must have a very good chance.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 4 - ELUSIVE HEART : She loves 1400m and is well in at the weights, she is well and is a runner.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 5 - ONESIE : This is sharp for her and will be a prep to bring her on.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 8 - JAMRA : She is a filly that likes to race handy so she will need to overcome the wide draw, but she can be competitive.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 10 - ARDENNE : She is new to the yard and takes on a strong field.
GRANT PADDOCK - MARGOT’S MAGIC : This is a prep for her, she will need it and we’re going to give the blinkers and a tongue tie a go for the first time.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 12 - AFLEET FLYER : She takes on a very strong field, just hoping for a good run.
ALAN GREEFF - Number 13 - LUNA WISH : She is never far back and though a bit out at the weights she could place.

RACE 6 :

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 4, 5 and 6 - BALTIC BEAT, GLOBAL DRUMMER, JAEGER MOON & PROFOUND WISDOM : Baltic Beat is nicely bred and could place. Global Drummer is working well and should be right there. Jaeger Moon and Profound Wisdom are nice types, they are working well and could run into quartets.
MONTANA TURNER - Numbers 7 and 10 - STELLIES & ZA ZOO : Stellies has his first run in very strong company, if not too green a respectable run is expected. Za Zoo is well and has come on so I am hoping for improvement.
ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 8 and 13 - TIGER IN THE SUN & HERRIN : Tiger in the Sun tries blinkers and a tongue tie and has a first four chance. Draw a line through Herrin’s last, she took a bad bump that day, she takes on the boys here but will run a nice race.
TARA LAING - Number 9 - WANGAN MIDNIGHT : It’s a strong field, he could place.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 11 and 12 - CYBER SECURITY & FLY MY FLAG : Both take on boys but there is a shortage of fillies juvenile races over 1200m. Cyber Security has managed three fair runs so far but both fillies have a tough task at the weights.

RACE 7 :

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 - OUTLANDOS D’ARMOUR, CARLITA, WORLD RADAR, RACINE, CARIOCA, SUNSHINE MINT & AMBRA : It is very hard to split these fillies and mares, there are positives for all. Outlandos D’Armour is consistent and in competitive form. Carlita will enjoy being back over 1000m and is working well. World Radar is back to best and should give a bold showing. Racine is unbeaten in PE over 1000m. Carioca is a nice filly, she is in a strong field but can pop up to feature. Ambra is at best over 1000m, but could prefer Poly.
TARA LAING - Number 10 - CAPTAIN ANNE BONNY : She takes on a very strong field but has a nice galloping weight and she must have good chance.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 11 - THREE STARS : She is in the deep end in a smart field having her first run locally, but she is not without a place chance.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 12 - TRAVEL IN STYLE : She is in good form and working very well but she takes on a stellar line up.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 14 - WESTERN ANGEL : The light weight will help but she takes on a strong line up.

RACE 8 :

ALAN GREEFF - Number 2 - LEPRECHAUN : He races off back to back wins and can be competitive again.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 3 - ON THE SCENT : She will appreciate being back to the mile, is down in class and though against the boys can be competitive.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 5 and 8 - HIDDEN INFLUENCE & SUNDAY FALLS : Hidden Influence is working well, he is well drawn and he can be right there. Sunday Falls has won over track and trip and must be included in everything.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 6 - BELL TOWER : She loves course and distance, is holding form and is very well in herself - she is a runner.
MONTANA TURNER - Number 7 - CUMBERLAND : He is new to the yard, but he is an old soldier, a happy horse, he can run well.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 10 - CHIPOFFTHEOLDBLOK : He has his first run for the yard, the blinkers are off, he could just need it.
TARA LAING - Number 11 - LEADMAN : He loves course and distance and only runs well on the grass, he is in with a shout.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 12 - SAUVAGE : Better on Poly.
