The Racing Association is pleased to announce that a new initiative will be launched on Friday 26 February 2021 to reward grooms for their contribution to horseracing.

A cash prize of R1000 as well as a trophy will be awarded to the groom of the winning horse for each Listed Race on the calendar until the end of July 2021.

We are extremely grateful to Epol for stepping forward and contributing to this worthy project. Grooms play an integral part in the success of any stable and these programmes and initiatives are a small step in a larger plan to progress and empower grooms in the industry.
