Kah Return Delayed

Star jockey Jamie Kah’s return to the saddle from suspension is set to be delayed by a week.

Kah, who is eligible to return to race riding later this week following a successful Supreme Court Appeal, suffered a broken nose, pushing back her return slightly. understands Kah will now target the Pakenham Cup meeting on December 4 for her return.

The extra week’s break will also allow Kah to continue to work on her fitness, having not competed since late August.

Kah was handed a three month suspension for her involvement in the Mornington Airbnb COVID-19 protocol breach. That suspension is due to end at midnight on Thursday.

She was then given an additional two month penalty for giving false and or misleading information to stewards.

However Kah was successful in appealing that ban in the Supreme Court last week, paving the way for an early return.

Fellow jockeys Mark Zahra, Ben Melham, Ethan Brown and Celine Gaudray remain suspended for their roles in the breach.

Brown and Gaudray are due back riding in early December, while Zahra is eligible to return in the Christmas/New Year period.

Melham will miss the start of 2022.
