Malmoos Retired to Stud

Top notch owners and breeders Shadwell have decided to retire Captain Al’s Triple Crown winning son Malmoos from racing. He will be taking up duties at Ridgemont/Highlands to stand alongside Rafeef.

Malmoos was a star three year old who unfortunately wasn't seen to be good enough by the Equus Panel to be given any awards for his Triple Crown feats. Sadly the same applied to Cape star Linebacker. Malmoos was in his own right a champion and at his home base he was no pushover. In fact he was genuinely hard to beat in that classic three year old campaign which led to a number victories over a range of distances during the triple crown.

Malmoos won seven races from 1200-2450m included.

His feature race victories were:

-SA DERBY GR.1
-SA CLASSIC GR.1
-GAUTENG GUINEAS GR.2
-CONCORDE CUP GR.2
-GRAHAM BECK STAKES GR.3

He Achieved a ratting of 125 at his peak.

Shadwell are retaining the majority shareholding in the horse, but a few shares are available.

The share price (50 share syndicate) includes first year insurance and congenital infertility cover.

There are just a handful of shares available, and you can contact Jehan Malherbe at Form Bloodstock for more info: Mail [email protected]
