Warren Kennedy and his wife have returned to South Africa from their holiday in Greece. However, the Champion Jockey is set to be on the road again, this time for good.
Kennedy won the jockeys championship in South Africa after pairing with the now retired Paul Peter to win the country's most prestigious title for riders.
New Zealand will be the new home for Kennedy as he awaits his visa and is likely to depart in early October. The Kzn based rider will take a few mounts in his current home province. It is likely that Kennedy will seek greener riding pastures than New Zealand in future with Hong Kong always being on his radar. Hong Kong does look for riders in their peak but towards a younger age bracket. Hence he has been unsuccessful to date in his application process. They also like to employ Champions, a tick Kennedy now has on his CV.
