Dual Grade 1 winner and winner of the two major races in the Highveld, the Betway Summer Cup and the Premier's Champions Challenge, Puerto Manzano was deservedly named Horse of the Season at the 2023 Highveld Feature Season Awards on Saturday. 

Onwed by the Highveld big investor Laurence Wernars, the Stat Argentine import brought home three Awards in total. 

Other highlights of the show included four Awards going to Sean Tarry including Trainer of the year. 

All winners were also winners of 'The Championships' races during the season. The newly minted 5 raceday package crowned Joburg Champions.
