The TAB Gauteng Guineas Gr2 delivered a historic moment as Sandringham Summit triumphed with a tote win at R1.7, etching his name in Guineas history.

This victory positions him among the timeless champions of the race, creating a day of euphoria for horse racing enthusiasts. Jockey Gavin Lerena and trainer David Nieuwenhuizen executed a meticulously planned race, strategically placing the star colt just off the pace.

With his characteristic acceleration, Sandringham Summit secured a stylish win by a remarkable 3 lengths. The upcoming target for this colt is the SA Classic, marking his pursuit of Triple Crown glory. Varsfontein Stud (Pty) Ltd, led by Mr J S Kalmanson, proudly owns this exceptional racer.

Sandringham Summit has been rated in the world's top 200 and is the only South African 3 year old in that bracket.

David Nieuwenhuizen confirmed to SAHorseracing.COM that the Classic is the next target and with that the Triple Crown could be the final target but that will depend on the Classic result.
