Pride Of Jenni Secures Historic Victory in Queen Elizabeth Stakes

In a race that will be remembered as a momentous occasion in Australian racing history, Pride Of Jenni delivered a breathtaking performance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, claiming victory by an astonishing six-and-a-half lengths.

The magnitude of Pride Of Jenni's dominance was evident from the outset, as jockey Declan Bates guided her to an extraordinary lead of 30 to 40 lengths with 800 meters remaining, leaving her rivals trailing far behind in her wake.

As the field entered the straight, Pride Of Jenni maintained her commanding position, extending her lead to an impressive 20 lengths. Despite the valiant efforts of the $1.85 favorite, Via Sistina, who made a late surge in the final 200 meters, Pride Of Jenni remained untouchable, never once relinquishing her firm grip on the race.

The victory not only solidified Pride Of Jenni's status as a racing sensation but also positioned her as a strong contender for the coveted Australian Horse of the Year award. With her outstanding performance in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes, coupled with previous Group 1 triumphs and her victory in the All-Star Mile, Pride Of Jenni has undoubtedly etched her name into the annals of Australian racing history.

Reflecting on the remarkable achievement, trainer Ciaron Maher expressed his awe at Pride Of Jenni's unparalleled performance. "I've never seen anything like that, ever. Phenomenal," exclaimed Maher. He praised Bates for his remarkable composure and skill in guiding the mare to such an emphatic victory.

Bates, too, marveled at Pride Of Jenni's prowess on the track, acknowledging her exceptional talent and determination. Despite his initial concerns about the pace of the race, Bates trusted in Pride Of Jenni's instincts and allowed her to dictate the tempo, a decision that ultimately led to their resounding success.

For Bates, being entrusted with the ride on such a remarkable horse has been a life-changing experience. He expressed gratitude to trainer Tony Ottobre for the opportunity to partner with Pride Of Jenni, emphasizing the special bond he shares with the talented mare.

As Pride Of Jenni crossed the finish line in spectacular fashion, Bates couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and appreciation for the incredible journey they had undertaken together. With her spring in her step and her unwavering determination, Pride Of Jenni had defied all expectations and etched her name into the hearts of racing fans around the world.
