HAT TRICK SHUTTLING TO ARGENTINA

HAT TRICK, a record-breaking champion by Sunday Silence, will shuttle to Argentina at the end of the 2009 breeding season, it was announced today. The multiple GI winner of $3,122,708 will stand at Haras El Mallin, near Buenos Aires.

"Hat Trick has a fantastic pedigree and is by the exceptional sire Sunday Silence of the Halo-line which has worked so well in Argentina with Southern Halo.

We were so impressed when he won the Hong Kong Mile (Gr.1) not only because he beat ten Gr.1 horses and six Champions, but also the fact that Hong Kong has a zero medication policy which is very important to us. Not too many horses of Hat Trick's caliber come to Argentina and we have no doubt that he will have a tremendous impact down here," said Antonio Bullrich, owner of Haras El Mallin.

HAT TRICK won eight races in his first 13 starts, including the Hong Kong Mile (G1) and Mile Championship (G1), and ran the fastest mile in Japanese history, 1.32.1.

He is out of Lost Code's daughter Tricky Code, a Grade 2 winner of more than $600,000. He is set to stand his second U.S. season at Bobby Trussell and John T.L. Jones III's Walmac Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
