J J The Jet Plane silenced his critics and made many new fans in England today as he demolished his field in the Listed Up Up and Away Stakes at Windsor.

The Mike De Kock runner, formerly trained by Lucky Houdalakis, was all the rage at restrictive odds of 5/10 and showed his opposition a clean pair of heels by bolting home by four lengths. The Jet Master gelding was asked the question by Jockey Ryan Moore 300m from home after leading all the way and responded with a burst of energy that catapulted him past this opposition and towards an easy victory at the wire.

A relieved De Kock said: "I thought it was a good win in a fairly competitive field. I'm very happy with him and this will do him the world of good."

He also mentioned that the Darley July Cup was also a possibility for the star galloper.

The gelding beat home Intrepid  Jack (15/2), Edge Closer (5/1), Genki (20/1). The winner picked up 22.400 pounds for his efforts over the 1200m trip.

Both William Hill and Totesport responded to the win by shortened him for the Golden Jubilee. William Hill rates the South African a 4-1 chance (previously 8/1) with Totesport dropping him from 13/2 to 4/1.
