JAROSLAW WINS IN ENGLAND, DUBAI ON CARDS

The ex-South African sprinter Jaroslaw might get to enjoy a return to a warmer climate after a narrow victory at a freezing cold Lingfield.

After one run for new trainer David Simcock at Kempton recently, he seemed to appreciate the step up to a mile as he wore down his 5-2 co-favourite Ace Of Hearts in a competitive Best Odds Guaranteed At totesport Conditions Stakes. He was the third leg of a treble for Martin Dwyer.

Jenny Simcock, the trainer's wife, said: "Hopefully that will justify a trip to Dubai, and hopefully he shouldn't get too stiff a handicap mark.

"He looked like he needed the mile. He was a sprinter in South Africa so there's still a doubt about the trip."

He is by Jallad - Dacha (Russian Fox) and was fourth on debut in England over 1400m. He was a four time winner in South Africa with his best win coming in a 104 merit rated race beating home Grade 1 winner, Let's Rock and Roll. He was also Grade 2 and listed placed. He ran second in the Hawaii Stakes Grade 2.
