YENI WINS IN KOREA

Jockey Muzi Yeni showed the true sport that he is when he was invited to take part in an international jockey challenge meeting in Korea and did something out of the ordinary for a visiting international jockey.

The likeable South African didn't manage to win a race for the international team that took on the Koreans at Seoul Racecourse in Korea over the weekend but that didn't stop him from jumping onboard a runner in race 10 and duly booted home his ride to victory by an awesome 5 lengths. Not bad for a 12/1 shot called BOGIDEONGGULJJAE.

Yeni was dumped off one of his mounts after the finishing post on Saturday, the first day of the international challenge, but it didn't deter the gritty race rider from competing on day 2 and riding outside of the designated races for the international jockeys.

He has always been an asset to South African racing and rides in South Africa for amongst others, the Mike De Kock stable. The talented jockey was invited to Korea via the relationship created between South Africa and Korea -  a relationship that has blossomed over the years and benefiting riders like Yeni amongst various professionals who have been employed by the KRA from South Africa.
