RACE 1:Maiden Plate 1000m Bend

TRIZAS has fair form. Stayed on last time. Chance in a weak field. BORN TO DO IT has placed second this C & D but current form leaves much to be desired. JUST HARRY has been improving. Yard is also coming in to some form. WHISTLE FOR GOLD has steady form, is never too far back but fades late. BICYCLE SHOP is a bit inconsistent but did show improvement last time.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 2400m Bend

VERTICAL DRIFT (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) looks to have a very good chance on form. He ran well last time when wearing blinkers for the first time. They are off for this afternoon's race!!!???!!! Will be running on. LAGO CUOMO (Dean Kannemeyer) is still improving but needs to find more of a finish. TEXAS FLOOD is making slow progress. DENVER COLORADO and TROPHY ROOM (Mike Bass/Sean Cormack) make up the field along with MR JUSTIN.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

JODIE (Dean Kannemeyer) improved by nineteen lengths last time. Form before a bad penultimate start was good. Consider on overall form. GOLD ACADEMY has improved in her last two starts. Tends to weaken though. DEGENERES (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) could improve but not too reliable. TUESDAYS CHILD (Mike Bass/MJ Byleveld) is showing some improvement. Scope for more improvement. EDEN ROSE is never too far back. Chance in this field.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

PREMIUM WOOD is coming along the right way. He is improving nicely and should be running on late. Should be the one to beat. AIR PATROL (Mike Bass) has had two quite decent runs thus far and should not be too long in picking up his maiden. AMANZI (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) did not show with blinkers last time. They are off today. FLAWLESS GEM (Brett Crawford/Karis Teetan) is never too far back. Include. KUKAMA needs to find more for the win but could place.

RACE 5:MR 72 Hcp 1600m Bend

D'ANGELO (Dean Kannemeyer) has the form to win. He does his best work late and should be the one that they will all have to beat. PALOS VERDES (Dean Kannemeyer) will also be  running on and he did win his maiden over the distance. SHANGHAI KID (Mike Bass/Sean Cormack) won his maiden last time. may need to confirm. HILL FIFTY FOUR also won his maiden last time. Consider though. WESTERN LEADER is showing improvement again. Place chance.

RACE 6:MR 80 Hcp 1800m Bend

BLUEMAMBO has won two of his four victories at this track and also over the distance. These two distance wins were at Kenilworth. Current form is good enough to see him sneak in and cause something of an upset. GRASP YOUR DESTINY (Mike Bass) also has good form but tends to disappoint. PEREGRINE POWER (Mike Bass) is never too far back and he has placed second this C & D. ASGARD (Glen Kotzen/Sean Cormack) has fair post maiden form. On occasion HOLLARD STREET (Dean Kannemeyer) runs on. Not too reliable.

SELECTIONS: 1st - BLUEMAMBO * (3); 2nd - GRASP YOUR DESTINY (1); 3rd - PEREGRINE POWER (4); 4th - ASGARD (7); 5th - HOLLARD STREET (2)

RACE 7:MR 78 Hcp  1200m Bend

LORD PARAMOUNT (Dean Kannemeyer/Felix Coetzee) is holding form well. Has only really performed poorly in tougher races. PELICAN POINT has faced much stronger. Could cause an upset if the 63.5kg is not too much for her. TOBEASTAR (Mike Bass) is never too far back and of course must come in to the reckoning. CASA BRAVO (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) won his maiden by just under four lengths last time. Had moderate form before that. Respect though. QUESTION TIME has been showing improvement. Stable is not firing.

RACE 8:MR 68 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Bend

AIM OF THE GAME drops in class but is C & D suited. SECRET CALL tends to fade rather late but can pop up. RED EMINENCE will have to find her best form to win. Has the capability to do so. ROSE LORAINE is coming back to form once again. PHALABORWA EXPRESS has moderate post maiden form and does look to be better than the balance of the field.
