RACE 1:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

TIDY TIGER (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) did not show on debut. Watch this time around. RADIO WAVES (Duncan Howells/Anton Marcus) looks to be improving and should have a very good shout in this field. Stable companion, HURRICANE HUNTER is never too far back and should have a place chance. GENEROUS GENT showed good improvement in his second start when staying on. PICADOR improved by just over twelve lengths last time when staying on. Respect.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1600m Bend

CASTLE QUEEN (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) is proving expensive to follow and has started four of her six starts as short price favourite. Should go close again. ROYAL LADY improved by almost twelve lengths last time. Consider. SUCH FUN has a definite money chance, especially with Anton Marcus aboard. LILY THE PINK is never far behind but tends to fade late. YET AGAIN has some fair form and could benefit from an apprentice claim of 1.5kg.

RACE 3:MR 74 Hcp 1400m Bend

SHE'S A DIME takes quite a drop in class. She has the form to win at this level and she has also won this C & D. AMERICAS CUP (Alec Laird) is never too far back and she will be doing her best work late on. UPITY ANN has steady form. Anthony Delpech has the ride. CHABLIS is inconsistent but could benefit from an apprentice claim of 4kg. SWEET SILVANO was running on last time and has run well over the distance before.

RACE 4:MR 74 Hcp 1400m Bend

ICE MACHINE (Glen Puller/Anton Marcus) won his maiden by almost four lengths last time. That was only his second run. Could follow up. ICE PIRATE (Sean Tarry) is never too far back. Tends to lose ground at the start but will also be running on and loves this C & D. HENCHMAN is consistent and has an apprentice claiming 4kg. JETSONS (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) came right back in to form last time. Worth considering. PRINCETON has place claims.

RACE 5:MR 73 Hcp (F & M) 2000m Bend

TIGER RIGHT (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) won well on debut last time. Respect again this evening. Will be running on. SIR FRANK (Sean Tarry/Anton Marcus) has yet to show in two starts in KZN. Should be better this time around. FALCONERS KNOT is never far behind. Chance if running on. FRIDAY LUNCH CLUB  (Mike De Kock/Muzi Yeni) has not won in quite a while but loves this C & D. DAY BY DAY could be ready to improve again.

RACE 6:MR 87 Hcp (F & M) 2000m Bend

ILHA GRANDE (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) has faced far stronger but has yet to repeat and live up to the promise shown early on in her career. Could make amends this evening. WICKET MAIDEN (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus) is battling to win again but she is never too far back. Ignore her latest effort as she cast a shoe that day. ISLE OF DOGS will be running on and her only win came this C & D many moons ago! Both Dean Kannemeyer inmates, MISS MADDIE and VALHALLA are not out of it and should be included where possible.

RACE 7:MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 2000m Bend

WINGED FOOT (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) ran on to win well over 1600m last time. Could repeat, even with the step up in distance. LAST LECTURE has her problems but should have a chance if breaking on terms.  LORNE COTTAGE (Alec Laird/Muzi Yeni) needs to find a better finish. Chance on better earlier form. NINTH SYMPHONY (Dennis Drier) has lost form slightly. Could be right there if finding best form again. CELADORE just got up to win last time. Apprentice claim of 4kg could assist again.

RACE 8:Maiden Plate (F & M) 2000m Bend

MUSIC PASS is ultra consistent but always tends to fade very late. Travels further tonight. SUMMER RAIN will have something of a chance on current form. THISISTHEWON is never far back and was hampered last time. SURPRISE ME has been showing improvement. BOULEVARD (Dean Kannemeyer) needs to repeat her penultimate run. Form is not that good but has scope for improvement.
