RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate 1000m Bend

There are five first timers in this race out of a field of seven. The first timers to consider could be INDABA MY CHILDREN (Charles Laird/Anton Marcus), OTTIMO and IRREBUTTABLE (Charles Laird). Another first timer with a money chance could be ICE CRYSTAL while PEREGRINE POWER looks best of the horses that have run. The betting could be your best guide.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 1400m Bend

MAGIC OF ROME ran on over shorter last time. Good chance if handling the extra. Being a son of Caesour, he should. TURNING TIDE made a decent debut last time. Scope for improvement. TIGER CLUB did not show last time but could prefer the extra distance of tonight's race. SHOGUNNAR (Gavin Van Zyl/Raymond Danielson) makes his debut. Watch the betting. STONE REEVES is improving and should be respected.

RACE 3:MR 74 Hcp 1300m Bend

WARWICKADALE did not act in soft going last time. Chance on earlier form. BOEING BOEING (Weiho Marwing/Anton Marcus) raids from Gauteng. Consider on decent Gauteng post maiden form. READ MY HEART (Gavin Van Zyl/Raymond Danielson) held on to win over the C & D last time. Chance again. TIBISI (Glen Kotzen) is steady but is battling for win number two. GILES has fair form and has a chance in this field.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 1900m Bend

FORT BENTON (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) did not show on debut last time over shorter. May prefer the extra. MOJAV has decent current form. Stays on and runs on well. Good chance. DENOZZO has had four starts of which three have been decent. Chance on overall form. TAKE THE HINT improved by ten lengths last time. Anton Marcus rides. HALLOWED is steady but will have more to find for the win.

RACE 5:Novice Plate 1600m Bend

WINTER MISCHIEF has very good form and could be the best bet of the meeting. Was pipped lated in a feature at Scottsville last time. Yet to run at the track but form looks to be too good for this field. TYCOON TOUCH will be finding extra late and has the form to make a race of it. Has won this C & D. CHISLER (Deon Visser/Anton Marcus) has good post maiden form. TRULY EXCLUSIVE ran well in his post maiden last time. GREAT DETAIL is battling for his second win but is never far back.

RACE 6:MR 86 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

SIX BLUE NOTES (Glen Kotzen/Sean Cormack) has faced some stronger fields. Runs well and runs on this C & D. Good chance in this field. SYDNEY'S GIRL has improved in her last two starts and was also running on last time. VARSITY BELLE (Joey Ramsden) ran on well to win this C & D last time. Can repeat. DANCE TO THE STARS has faced far stronger and has a massive 63.5kg but this could be compensated by the apprentice claim of 4kg. Must have a winning chance. DADEWETHU is never far back. Respect.

RACE 7:MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

RA RA RA has very good and consistent form. Has won this C & D and handles the wet well. FOXTROT BABY tends to fade but consider on steady form. CANE MARTINI improved by over fifteen lengths last time. Likes to set a good pace but does fade. SEMI AUTOMATIC has good post maiden form. AL NADIRA sets a good pace. Anthony Delpech has the ride.

RACE 8:MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

PISTOL DAWN (Glen Kotzen/Sean Cormack) ran a good post maiden form when running on. Chance if repeating that form. FAIRE SILVANO also ran well has had three good runs and she also ran well in her post maiden last time. KEEN ACCORD ran an improved race last time and could carry that forward to this evening's race. DESERT BREEZE won her maiden last time. may need to confirm. IN BROAD DAYLIGHT may improve and could cause an upset.
