RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1000m Bend

AL KINDI (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) makes her debut this evening. She may want further but is well enough bred to suggest that she could be the one to beat. Keep an eye on the betting. MICHELLE MY BELLE has run three times for two seconds and a third. Should fight it out. The following first timers could make some appeal: FLITTER (Gavin Van Zyl/Anton Marcus); FLEETING KISS and CHATTAHOOCHEE. The betting may be your best guide.

SELECTIONS: 1st - AL KINDI * (1); 2nd - MICHELLE MY BELLE (7); 3rd - FLITTER (6); 4th - FLEETING KISS (5); 5th - CHATTAHOOCHEE (3)

RACE 2:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1600m Bend

OLIMPIC MADAM (Dennis Drier/Stuart Randolph) has run well in her last three starts. This is her first run with blinkers as well as this track. Should go close. The main challenger should be PIGEON POWER who finished a very good second this C & D at her penultimate start. MALIBU MOON (Mike De Kock/Anton Marcus) has had two rather moderate runs thus far. May improve. YET AGAIN ran her best race last time. One to be considered. GAZETTE is a bit erratic. Has had two very good runs in five. Place chance.

SELECTIONS: 1st - OLIMPIC MADAM * (2); 2nd - PIGEON POWER (3); 3rd - MALIBU MOON (15); 4th - YET AGAIN (11); 5th - GAZETTE (1)

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

NOORDHOEK EXPRESS (Dean Kannemeyer) has not raced for three months. Had fair Cape Town form but could improve in KZN. The satellite yard has been doing well in KZN. AFRICA was running on last time when showing good improvement at this track by nine lengths. Could be in the shake up. SPITTING MAD has been showing slight improvement. Yard is not firing at present. SPARKLE WITH SPEED has been improving in his three runs. More to do to win but could earn a small cheque. LIQUID AWE (Deon Visser/Sean Cormack) has only moderate form but look for improvement.

SELECTIONS: 1st - NOORDHOEK EXPRESS * (1); 2nd - AFRICA (5); 3rd - SPITTING MAD (7); 4th - SPARKLE WITH SPEED (2); 5th - LIQUID AWE (3)

RACE 4:Maiden Plate 1600m Bend

SILVERANO (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) has weak form over shorter. Should improve over this trip and further. GIDA has had two good latest runs, placing in both which were over the "mile". Anton Marcus rides this time. NEW RESOLUTION is never too far back and was a bit unlucky last time. BLACK PLATINUM did not show in his first run after gelding last time. Give another chance, perhaps. HEART is never too far off the pace, but needs to find extra late.

SELECTIONS: 1st - SILVERANO * (11); 2nd - GIDA (1); 3rd - NEW RESOLUTION (3); 4th - BLACK PLATINUM (2); 5th - HEART (5)

RACE 5:
MR 78 Hcp (F & M) 1000m Bend

TORRA BAY (Dennis Drier/Stuart Randolph) looks to be a promising sort who could win a minor feature in the upcoming KZN Winter Season. She won her first two starts before being rested for three months. On her return she ran well against slightly stronger opposition and managed a close up third. Should go far closer this evening and looks to be a very good bet. FAIRYTALE STORY also takes a drop in class. She did not show in a MR 95 handicap last time. Chance tonight. SING THE BLUES is far better than her latest effort. Had good form before that. Don't be surprised if she does not go extremely close. UNITED ran a good post maiden last time. The Glen Kotzen yard is badly off form. VARSITY QUEEN looks to be coming right back to best. Anthony Delpech rides.

SELECTIONS: 1st - TORRA BAY ** (3); 2nd - FAIRYTALE STORY (1); 3rd - SING THE BLUES (2); 4th - UNITED (5); 5th - VARSITY QUEEN (10)

RACE 6:Allowance Plate (F & M) 2000m Bend

LAS RAMBLAS showed a very good return to form last time. Has faced far stronger with some success. Anton Marcus has the ride and should be the one to beat. CELESTIAL CLOUD (Mike De Kock) will be racing from the front and with an apprentice claim of 4kg could hold them all at bay. SECRET BABE (Dennis Drier/Stuart Randolph) has raced against much stronger fields and if at best could prove to be a troublesome contender. May find the trip too far. Yet to show over 2000m. TUSCAN TREASURE (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) is expensive to follow but don't rule out. ATAIR (Joey Ramsden/Sean Cormack) is never far back and is distance suited with two wins out of four this distance.

SELECTIONS: 1st - LAS RAMBLAS * (5); 2nd - CELESTIAL CLOUD (6); 3rd - SECRET BABE (1); 4th - TUSCAN TREASURE (8); 5th - ATAIR (4)

RACE 7:MR 92 Hcp 1900m Bend

RIVER LODGE (Gavin Van Zyl) has not won in quite a while but was running on this track in a small feature over 2000m last time. He has won and placed this C & D before and looks to be a lively prospect. A KING IS BORN will be running on. The Alyson Wright yard is doing nicely and Anton Marcus rides. DANISH SILVER has contested two small features in his last two starts. He is never too far back and will be given an easier task this evening with an apprentice claim of 4kg off his back. Four of his five wins have been at this track. CHINDIT (Charles Laird/Anthony Delpech) has been disappointing in recent times. Anton Marcus rides A KING IS BORN in this race and not for Charles Laird which could be significant. MAKE MY DAY has the blinkers removed. Can sneak a place at very best.

SELECTIONS: 1st - RIVER LODGE * (3); 2nd - A KING IS BORN (1); 3rd - DANISH SILVER (2); 4th - CHINDIT (6); 5th - MAKE MY DAY (10)

RACE 8:
MR 75 Hcp 1900m Bend

LE CORSAIRE (Joey Ramsden/Anthony Delpech) was running on last time when finishing third, five lengths behind Silent Partner in a stronger race last time. Silent Partner has since won again. On that form he could be the one to beat. FALCONERS KNOT has good post maiden form but just cannot win again. He runs well for this apprentice who has finished second with him on three occasions already. The 4kg will help again. SIR FRANK (Sean Tarry/Anton Marcus) has improved in his last two post maiden runs. BADGE OF CHOICE ran his best race in a while when running on over 2000m at this track last time. COOL KANOORA needs to find more to win.

SELECTIONS: 1st - LE CORSAIRE * (3); 2nd - FALCONERS KNOT (8); 3rd - SIR FRANK (9); 4th - BADGE OF CHOICE (10); 5th - COOL KANOORA (4)
