RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight

COMMODORE PETE (Justin Snaith) showed solid improvement last time and should go close again if running on again. DISCO AL (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) made a good debut last time. Should improve on that run. NAVAL VICTORY (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) makes his debut. Keep an eye on the betting. SHERIFF MARSHALL (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) also makes his debut and again the betting could be your best guide. PARISIAN BOLT has absolutely no form but he wears blinkers for the first time.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 1000m Straight

DANZEY GREEN showed very good improvement last time and could benefit from an apprentice claim of 4kg. ZAKEROO has steady form and could go close. HOPES AND DREAMS is inconsistent, tends to fade. TRIZAS had his excuses last time. Has claims on a few decent runs to date. LOOKATMEGO also lacks finish. Has more to find to win but could place.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate 1800m Bend

PUTNEY FLYER ran an improved race last time when staying on for the first time. The blinkers also go on today and must have a very good chance. BLUE CRANE has been improving and could go close. WOTTA SMASHER is also steady and never too far back. DOMANI tries further and the distance could suit. BARREL 'N BUTT (Mike Bass) has more to find for the win but has a place chance.

RACE 4:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1400m Bend

FASHION FRINGE (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has been improving, albeit slowly. Not much to beat in this field. DANAVANO has improved in her last two but still needs to find a better finish. EDEN ROSE could be improving again. SULLY'S LANDING fades badly but has a chance if repeating her penultimate start this C & D. TUESDAY'S CHILD (Mike Bass/MJ Byleveld) will have more to show for the win.

RACE 5:MR 85 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

RAIN GAL has yet to run a bad race and she will be running on. MERINGUE is back in form and has a strong finish. APPROACH ME (Yogas Govender) has gone off the boil a bit but can threaten if repeating her best efforts to date. MARGARET COURT (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) must have a chance being back over her best distance. CASH REGISTER (Glen Kotzen/Sean Cormack) has fair post maiden form and stable looks to be coming back to form.

RACE 6:MR 69 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

JET LADY (Mike Bass/Karl Neisius) did not show over further last time. Consider strongly back over her favourite C & D where she has only won and placed. SALAMINA (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) won her maiden very impressively last time despite losing two lengths at the start. That was an eye-catching win. Chance if not needing to confirm. WINGS OF FORTUNE (Glen Kotzen/Sean Cormack) is inconsistent but stable is slowly coming back in to form. LOLA BUD has steady form and should not be ignored. KIND LADY took fifty four runs to crack her maiden. Her two post maiden runs have been fair and she could place once again.

RACE 7:MR 72 Hcp 1200m Straight

SANTA BARBARA has very good form this C & D. Does not win often but gave a good account of himself over this C & D last time and against slightly stronger opposition. Could cause an upset. ACT WITH HONOUR was rewarded for consistency last time when drawing away to win this C & D. Can repeat. RAGING BULL is never far back but fades late. PRINCE OF WINGS (Mike Bass/Karl Neisius) was fair in his post maiden last time. Could improve. COUNT DUMANI could place at best. Has been racing in PE.

RACE 8:MR 84 Hcp 1200m Straight

CAPTAINOFTHEGUARD (Vaughan Marshall) has steady form but has not won in a while. He has raced against slightly stronger and should be right there. Only wins and places this C & D. PRESIDENT OF POP (Justin Snaith/Felix Coetzee) has won his last two. Looks to be well in at the weights. Is very game. LORD FORT WOOD (Yogas Govender) is never far back but gets beaten late. KUJA (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) is also in good form and he can also score in a field where a good few have winning chances. NUMBERED ACCOUNT encounters traffic problems but be a factor if he finds a clear passage.
