RACE 1: Maiden Plate 1200m Straight

WHISTLE FOR GOLD runs for the staggering 38th time as a maiden. Having said that, his recent form has not been that bad. He has run well this C & D and last time did find a decent finish. Could cause an upset in the first of the day. ARTIKA improved incredibly well in his latest start. Will be difficult to beat if he repeats that run. GILGAMESH has had two good runs and will be running on. LAKE BENJAMIN runs on nicely. ELUSIVE GOLD is a two-year-old debutant facing some older rivals. Keep an eye on this one.

RACE 2: Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

I'M A ROCK STAR has had three good runs and has been finding a good finish. Has placed second this C & D. TRIPLE RHYME ran her best race last time. Chance if repeating. CHANGING HEART ran on too late last time but in all four starts she has shown some potential. BAVARIA has yet to show but this trip could be more to her liking. SOFT SNOW did not show last time but must have a shout on previous two better runs.

MISSION HOUSE has won this C & D and has very good form over this trip in general. Did not throw in the towel last time. DANCE FOR GOLD has really been in very good form in recent times and against stronger as well. MARGARET COURT runs well this C & D and will also be running on. Karl Neisius rides for Mike Bass. IMPERIAL STATE ran on strongly last time to win this C & D. Can repeat. RAIN GAL rarely runs a bad race and is not out of it in this race.

RACE 6: Conditions Plate (F & M) 1000m Straight

AGRA has won three from five starts. Has run behind some very good sorts, such as VIA AFRICA. Very good chance at the weights in this field. LA TIGRESSE was returning from a four month break last time and ran below her best. Could be one to follow this time around if fitter. THE BLACK ROSE did not show in the Fillies Nursery last time. This field is not as strong. Should earn something. LAKE DRAWSKO always has a habit of popping up against decent opposition. SUPER ELEGANT appears to be off form but has a place chance.

RACE 7: Cape Of Good Hope Nursery (R150 000) 1200m Straight

SUNDAY SUN was running on when finishing third in the Somerset last time. Must have a shout in this small field. FLASH DRIVE was very fast when winning his maiden at the second attempt this C & D. May have to confirm but is current ante post favourite. ZAMBEZI TORRENT is still a maiden but one has to respect the Mike Bass/Karl Neisius combination. Looks to be set for a decent career. Close up finishes. TIGER ISLAND won his maiden at the fifth attempt last time. Looks to have far more to do. SILK ROAD won his first two and then went off the boil. Has been showing a return to form. Must not be ignored.

RACE 8: Kenilworth Fillies Nursery (R150 000) 1200m Straight

KITTI CAT won a feature race last time. Has it all to do to repeat. Is a two-time winner and must be respected. Beat ALASCAN MAIDEN last time. ALASCAN MAIDEN ran an excellent post maiden last time. That was in a feature race. Should be in the firing line Meets KITTI CAT on 2kg better terms for a ½ beating. Could be little to choose between them. PURE POWER finished behind both KITTI CAT and ALASCAN MAIDEN last time. More to do to reverse that order. Should earn something though. CATCHPHRASE won her maiden very impressively last time. Rises in class but respect likely further improvement. WHEREDOWEGO won her maiden last time but has much more to find.

RACE 9: Maiden Plate 1400m Bend

AFRICAN SMILE was returning from a five month break last time. Will be a fitter proposition next time. Finished strongly. FORT BUKLOH probably would have won last time were it not for a saddle slip. Should make amends this afternoon. REMEMBERIN ESSENCE is never far back and has very good form. SHEPHERDS PURSE was just pipped last time over 1600m. Could prefer this trip. BLUE OCEAN has been bred for this trip and further. Steady two runs.
