RACE 1: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1600m Bend

SAIL TO PARADISE (Mike De Kock/Robbie Fradd) made a fair debut last time and should have the ability to improve on that run. The extra could suit. ABSTRACT (Gavin Van Zyl/Piere Strydom) has not been disgraced in his four career starts and must threaten in this race. ERMINE STREET has faded in both starts. Definite money chance. HEART OF A LION (Gavin Van Zyl) has shown ability and should be in the mix. MR ADMIRATION has shown immense improvement in his last two.

RACE 2: Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1200m Bend

BELLE COCO made a very good debut last time when sent off as favourite. Should make up for that debut run today. Was very speedy that day and should have benefited from that run. MELTING POT has improved in her last two starts and ran on nicely last time. LADY OF KILDARE (Sean Tarry/Piere Strydom) has had two decent runs and she did run on well last time. CASUAL disappointed in her second start last time. Finished well on debut two runs back. BALLY HAVOC has no form but could cause a major upset!

ARCTIC SUN improved by almost twenty five lengths last time. Ran on well against slightly stronger last time. Must go close on that latest effort. SHINE TIGER showed very good improvement last time.  Chance if running on. PASSION PLEASER is never far off them but may prefer sand. SCARLET VEIL is holding form well and must be respected with Piere Strydom aboard. MOONSCAPE has good form but weakens. Has won over the distance.

RACE 6: MR 68 Hcp 1200m Bend

REIGN VICTORIOUS (Sean Tarry/Gavin Lerena) has excellent form and against stronger. Look for another strong finish. Should be difficult to beat. OH DRISCOLL also drops in class but does not have the same form at present. But one ought to respect his chances. IMPERIAL PRINCESS lost ground at the start but will have a place chance if breaking on terms. FUNNY GLORY is never far back but appears to prefer the sand. Fancy for places. NUGGETS could be ready to improve.

RACE 7: MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 2600m Bend

BAY PRINCESS (Gavin Van Zyl) ran on well in a feature race last time. May have won had she not been bumped in running. Chance to make amends in a far weaker race. Stable companion, BLAZE OF RESPECT, showed very good improvement last time and has Piere Strydom aboard again. RUBY CHIMES had good form before she won her maiden last time. May need to confirm that run but is still worth a shout. SUNNY DISPOSITION would probably have won last time had it not been for some interference late on. DIGITAL DYNASTY won her maiden at the tenth attempt last time. More to find this level.

RACE 8:Pinnacle Stakes 1600m Bend

HEAVY METAL (Sean Tarry) won the Champions Cup at 40/1 last time. Should win this afternoon. Has faced the best horses in many of his starts. THE MOUSEKETEER has won his last two feature race starts, admittedly on sand, but he does run well on the turf as well. If HEAVY METAL fluffs his lines then THE MOUSEKETEER should be able to pounce. MEISSA is extremely promising but could have more to find in this field. EIGHTFOLD PATH (Mike De Kock) disappointed last time when making his SA debut. Has probably been brought here for breeding purposes but he had a good racing career in the USA. Watch for improvement. JET JAMBOREE has not raced in over a year. Place chance.

RACE 9: MR 85 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

FLIGHT ZONE has shown a return to form in her last two starts. Has the ability and must have a good chance. CYCLONE MICHELLE was not disgraced in a feature race last time and should enjoy this afternoon's company. Will be running on. SECRET MAGOK won her maiden last time. Will need to confirm. ESKIMO INN did not show in her two feature races in her last two starts. Must have a very good chance in this lower race and with an apprentice claiming 4kg. PURE SILVER (Ormond Ferraris/Nooresh Juglall) has no form going for her, but has a trainer/jockey combination that should not be ignored.

RACE 10: MR 68 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend

DEVORAH made a winning debut last time. It was an impressive win and he could win in this field which is definitely not a strong one. The extra should suit. SUZI SWIFT (Ormond Ferraris/Nooresh Juglall) showed very good improvement last time and was running on at the end. MAGIC POTION is in good form and produced a very strong finish last time. WINGS OF AN ANGEL has shown good form in her last two. Piere Strydom rides again. MRS CHING has two fair post maiden runs. Could need more for the win. DIRTYDEALIN MAMA has disappointed in KZN and may improve here.
