RACE 1: Maiden Plate 1000m Straight

PRINCE OF PANAREA all but won his last two starts. Runs for the tenth time as a maiden and on form could win. Watch the betting on the first timer, ZOOM ZOOM. ROYAL VAR has steady form but could improve with the blinkers fitted this afternoon. SLAVETOTHERHYTHM did not show with blinkers fitted last time. Could improve again without the headgear. Another first timer worth considering is KOPI LUWAK. Watch the betting.

RACE 2: Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Straight

I'M A ROCK STAR is C & D suited and on form should have a decent shout. AFRICAN SHOWERS had her best race to date last time. That just happened to be this C & D. Consider on that run. MOONLIGHTING was touched off on the line this C & D last time after having set a good pace. Could get it right this afternoon. SOFT SNOW was fast last time but weakened when it mattered most. BERGFRUE is a two-year-old who did not show on debut last time. Could improve.

RACE 3: Juvenile Plate 1400m Bend

 

ODZALA has yet to run a bad race and should be running on this C & D. PERSIAN CARPET ran her best race in four last time. That was over further which may be of concern. QUBLA showed very good improvement over further in both of her last two runs. Chance if relishing the "mile". WOOSH did not show over this C & D last time. The blinkers may sharpen her up. LADY REDOUTE has had three steady runs. Could earn something decent.

RACE 6: MR 76 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

SPRING BEAUTY takes a drop in class and should feature at this level  despite the 60½kg on her back. She has lost ground at the start in her last three but has still managed to find a strong finish. VARIETY STAR set the pace last time but weakened late. AQUA has decent post maiden form. Did finish well last time. MAIDSTONE won her maiden last time when running on. May have more to do. CHANGING HEART also finished strongly to win her maiden last time after making up the two lengths lost at the start. May need to confirm.

RACE 7: MR 76 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

TEQUILA BLUSH is improving again but but her breaking on terms issue could cost her dearly. FREDDY'S SISTER missed the break last time but still won because of a strong finish. Could repeat. CONTROL TOWER takes a sizeable drop in class and should go close despite the 61kg on her back. RUSHINTOTHEWIND is consistent but has been weakening of late. THAT'S OUR GIRL has also been weakening late but has a minor money chance.

RACE 8:Pinnacle Stakes 1400m Bend

LANCELIN is ideally C & D suited. Finished second to WHAT A WINTER last time. He was only 2.25 lengths back. If WHAT A WINTER were in this race he would start at the shortest odds possible. Looks to be a good bet at 4/1. CASK may be coming back to best form that saw him contest strong feature races earlier in his career. ROMEO BRAVO stayed on last time. Could place. ASHTON PARK has yet to run a bad race but steps up in class. MARCHANT won his last two, one of which was this C & D. Takes on stronger.

RACE 9: MR 78 Hcp 1200m Straight

MONEY FOR LOVE must have a very good chance on his vastly improved latest effort when running on powerfully. SAGE OF SIVANA was just caught on the line against far stronger last time. Chance at this level. ATRIKA won his maiden last time. That was an impressive win. Could follow up. EQUITORIA has not run since October 2011. Showed promise with two consecutive wins before the long break. Watch over the shorter trip. RECALL TO LIFE also won his last two but last run was in February. Respect WINNING POST, the joint favourite who just got up on the line to win his maiden at the third attempt at 35/1.
