Value seekers might be in for a good day on Sunday with horses coming into form in races with plenty of depth.
Case in point is the Laurie Laxon-trained WARRIOR in race 10.
The one-time winner has looked OK at his last couple and given he had excuses at his most recent run with blinkers removed, he is one to follow.
Danny Beasley takes the ride and as there looks to be a few horses with stronger form - SLAYER and MY NEW BOSS to name two - a horse like WARRIOR might be terrific each-way value in a race that suits.
Likewise BLACK RAIN in the last looks suited by the grade and trip.
His form reads badly - 9 9 9 looks like an emergency number - but a drop to Class 4 is definitely in his favour and a big run at odds would not surprise.
Throw in the maiden CERIUM in race 8 - he will very much appreciate Class 5 company - and there looks to be plenty of solid each-way options on a tough day of racing.
Best Bets; WHAT NOW (race 9, win), CERIUM (race 8, each-way) and WARRIOR (race 10, value).
Bankers for Jackpots: Race 8 (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 12), race 9 (3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9), race 10 (1, 4, 5, 7 and 9), race 11 (1 and 3).

RACE 8: CLASS 5 (1) - 1400M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 16:25 PRIZE MONEY: S$35000
Larry says, "It's often hard to measure up how lightly-raced maidens go against Class 5 company for the first time but in the case of CERIUM, it could see a win. The Hussonet 3YO has had nine career starts and when you consider his most recent runs have been his best in what has looked OK Restricted Maiden company, he should go very well. Backing up this maiden-to-Class 5 theory is ARATIATIA who ran his best race in this company last start. It was the 5YO's only placing and given his previous form was only fair (at best) it all bodes well for CERIUM. ARATIATIA only has to back that effort up to go close here with gate one and JP staying on-board in his favour. BEAT TO QUARTERS drops back to Class 5 and that suggests we start following him with SIR RUMBLE also a winning hope over what is his best trip and Class. Hard to leave out LEAVE ME ALONE with GOLDEN CHALICE and THRUST also in the winning mix."

RACE 9: KRANJI STAKES A (SET WEIGHTS) - 1400M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 17:00 PRIZE MONEY: S$125000
Larry says, "WHAT NOW loves this trip and looks due. He has drawn wide but with all of his career wins (six) over 1400m and coming off a solid run of form, Alan Munro should ride him like a good thing and expect him to be right in this late. RED BEARD looked like he has enjoyed both a break from racing and a change of stables with an eye-catching first-up run. Although not winning at his last six starts, it will pay to remember his previous eight runs netted six wins and that form obviously had him pegged as one of the better horses in Singapore. For value in what is a wide-open race, it will pay to include METEOR MIKE - who had respiratory excuses last start and will keep a few honest here - and AROWANA DOT COM who could have finished closer last start. While the two Pat Shaw runners - MARTINCHO CAT and RUNNING TALL - are in-form and can win, the field has depth and hard to include them all."

RACE 10: KRANJI STAKES D (SET WEIGHTS) (1) - 1600M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 17:35 PRIZE MONEY: S$35000
Larry says, "Might be some value on offer for the top pick in this Kranji Stakes D with WARRIOR. The Laurie Laxon-trained 5YO has only won once but he showed enough with blinkers removed last start to think this race suits and he can double that tally. He has excuses not to finish closer last start and that run behind Black Jack good enough for this - hopefully at odds. SLAYER finished second in that same race and the likely favourite is probably the one the others have to beat. Manoel Nunes from gate six suggest he gets every chance. MY NEW BOSS is the other in-form horse and a win would not surprise. Harry Kassim from gate one looks a winning combination. Two super horses - SUPER JETSET and SUPER STAR - are both seen more often on the Poly but can also win."

RACE 11: CLASS 4 - 1400M COURSE D (SC) (TURF TRACK) TIME: 18:05 PRIZE MONEY: S$55000
Larry says, "As is the case more weeks than not, the lucky last will need some luck to find the winner. But EMPRESS WU looks a strong winning chance on what she has shown at two starts in Singapore. Her debut win - albeit in a race restricted to the fairer sex - was good and the fact she was backed and ran well behind the very smart FIRST TOTHELIGN, suggests she goes more than OK. She hit the line well enough on that occasion to think 1400m is no problem and she can knock in win number three at just start number 4. BLACK RAIN is not as obvious but goes close nonetheless. A drop in Class coupled with a very suitable trip and track has the 5YO right in this and given his relatively poor form in the book, at odds. The grey, AFFIRMATION, was terribly disappointing last start in what was a similar affair but it will pay to follow the 6YO as he wins soon this grade and trip. BIG READY and CAPTIVATE both can win without surprising and expect support for the pair."
