Karl Neisius & Bernard Fayd'Herbe
RACE 1: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight
ROYAL TRUMP (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) is a well-bred first timer. Cost R1 Million. Keep an eye on the betting. NORDIC WARRIOR (Brett Crawford/Karis Teetan) made a very good debut last time when just being pipped late. Could have the experience to win. JUST AL lacked finish on debut last time. Will improve. SPANISH TIGER (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) could be another first timer worth following. TRAPPED IN ICE (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) was slow away on debut last time and never showed thereafter. Looks to have the ability to win his maiden soon.
1st – ROYAL TRUMP (5.5/1) (17); 2nd – NORDIC WARRIOR (1/1 F) (12); 3rd – JUST AL (9); 4th - SPANISH TIGER (19); 5th – TRAPPED IN ICE (20)
RACE 2: Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight
MATADOR IN RED (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has shown up well in both starts and should win his maiden pretty soon. KOPI LUWAK (Mike Bass/Aldo Domeyer) did not show on debut last time. Looks as if he may improve. MUSKETS 'N ROSES has had two promising runs before fading. May improve. CAPTAIN AMERICA (Brett Crawford/Karis Teetan) makes his debut. Watch the betting. SOLAR STAR (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) makes his debut. Bred at Summerhill Stud.
1st – MATADOR IN RED (1.8/1 F) (10); 2nd – KOPI LUWAK (7); 3rd – MUSKETS 'N ROSES (12); 4th - CAPTAIN AMERICA (2); 5th – SOLAR STAR (16)
RACE 3: Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1200m Straight
WINTER'S EVE (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) has had two good runs. Stayed on really well last time. May break the maiden this afternoon. TIGERESS DANCE (Joey Ramsden/Andrew Fortune) made a very good debut last time when finding a good finish. Has obvious claims. DYNASTY'S GIRL (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) makes her debut. Well bred. Worth considering. WET AUTUMN MIST has been improving in each run since making her debut three runs back. PRINCESS CREO (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has had six steady runs with the following record: 6(0-2-3). Weakens though.
1st – WINTER'S EVE (3.3) (16); 2nd – TIGERESS DANCE (2.5/1 F) (14); 3rd – DYNASTY'S GIRL (5); 4th - WET AUTUMN MIST (15); 5th – PRINCESS CREO (12)
RACE 4: Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1200m Straight
DINESEN (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) makes her debut. Could be worth following. ALS BONANZA (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) has had her problems which included a saddle slip last time after showing good early pace. SHE'S A HONEY (Joey Ramsden.Glen Hatt) faded badly against far stronger last time. Chance on penultimate. YOUNG DUCHESS (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has been running on in her last two starts. May prefer the extra 200m. AMBER FLYER, daughter of FORT WOOD, makes her debut. Will prefer further, but not today!
1st – DINESEN (5/1) (5); 2nd – ALS BONANZA (3.5/1 F) (1); 3rd – SHE'S A HONEY (12); 4th - YOUNG DUCHESS (16); 5th – AMBER FLYER (2)

RACE 5: Maiden Plate 1200m Straight
MIDAS MAGIC was slow away in his second start last time but then produced a strong finish. Could be well worth following if confirming that improvement. Andrew Fortune rides. DIPLOMATIC (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) has been improving with each run and was just pipped last time over 1600m. Back over 1200m. BILLY RED (Justin Snaith/Grant Van Niekerk) improved by over eleven lengths in his second start last time. One to consider, even for the win. EPICENTRE improved by almost ten lengths in his third attempt last time. Ran on well. Include in Quartets and Trifectas etc. MULLINS REEF (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) disappointed somewhat after having made a good debut the run before that. Respect that debut run.
1st – MIDAS MAGIC (2.8/1 F) (10); 2nd – DIPLOMATIC (1); 3rd – BILLY RED (13); 4th - EPICENTRE (2); 5th – MULLINS REEF (15)
RACE 6: Maiden Plate 2400m Bend
PRIVATE DOOWALEY runs well but has only been in the top three once from thirteen runs. Is never far back but will be running on late. Could be good value. WAVIN' FLAG (Brett Crawford/Karis Teetan) ran on strongly last time when running his best race in three starts. Could be rewarded for steady improvement. The extra should suit. TEMPLE TIGER has been weakening late but Karl Neisius takes the ride. BARREL 'N BUTT (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has done enough in his last two to suggest that he may be ready to win this. Ran on well last time. HOLD ON TIGER runs for the thirtieth time. Weakens but may be assisted by apprentice claim of 4kg.
1st – PRIVATE DOOWALEY (5.5/1) (1); 2nd – WAVIN' FLAG (1/1 F) (3); 3rd – TEMPLE TIGER (2); 4th - BARREL 'N BUTT (6); 5th – HOLD ON TIGER (5)
RACE 7: MR 76 Hcp (F & M) 1600m Bend
OPEN MY EYES (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) was running on well when showing good improvement last time. Just the type of horse to cause an upset on today's card. Has won this C & D. INTERNET JET (Mike Bass) has some decent post maiden form. Ran on for the first time in a long time last run. CONTROL TOWER (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has been dropping in class. Did run on against similar company last time. One to watch for an even more telling improvement. CHANGING HEART finished strongly in his post maiden against similar opposition last time. Do not ignore. LADY REDOUTE won her maiden impressively last time. That was her fourth attempt. May need to confirm.
1st – OPEN MY EYES (14/1) (13); 2nd – INTERNET JET (5.5/1 F) (10); 3rd – CONTROL TOWER (1); 4th - CHANGING HEART (16); 5th – LADY REDOUTE (11)
RACE 8: MR 90 Hcp 1200m Straight
GENERAL ASSEMBLY drops in class and was running on strongly at the finish last time. The blinkers go on. One to consider. Apprentice claim of 2½kg will assist. EQUITORIA (Dean Kannemeyer) won his last two (maiden/post maiden) when running on in both. Those were both over further. Las run was in October 2011. May need a run or two but the shorter trip will suit for now. One to consider for the upset. ROARING WIND runs for the third time after a lengthy break (42 weeks). MOONLIGHT GAMBLER is never far back and is ideally C & D suited. Holding form well. CYPRESS POINT (Dean Kannemeyer) has problems at the start. Needs to improve but could still earn a cheque.
1st – GENERAL ASSEMBLY (7/1) (1); 2nd – EQUITORIA (9); 3rd – ROARING WIND (5); 4th - MOONLIGHT GAMBLER (4.5/1 F) (8); 5th – CYPRESS POINT (3)
RACE 9: MR 75 Hcp 1200m Straight
CAPTIVE ACTION has good form and will be running on. Bernard Fayd'Herbe rides him again. GOLCONDA (Joey Ramsden/Andrew Fortune) ran on well to win this C & D last time. Both wins have been this C & D. DOMANI just faded out of it last time. More to find at the finish. TALENT SCOUT could be improving again. BOBBY JAMES (Justin Snaith/Karis Teetan) ran two decent post maiden runs and could have more to find.
1st – CAPTIVE ACTION (3/1 F) (2); 2nd – GOLCONDA (4); 3rd – DOMANI (6); 4th - TALENT SCOUT (11); 5th – BOBBY JAMES (1)
RACE 10: MR 76 Hcp (F & M) 1200m Straight
MISS SAIGON (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) has good form against stronger and will be running on. Has shown a liking for this C & D. Could be worth following. SPRING BEAUTY is never far back. Broke on terms last time. Has a good shout in this league. QUEEN'S MUSIC ran a very good post maiden last time. Sets a good pace. Will need to hold on here. DORIS DUKE (Justin Snaith/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has been running on well in her last two (win/second). TEQUILA BLUSH did not jump at the start last time. Consider on previous two runs.
1st – MISS SAIGON (5.5/1) (1); 2nd – SPRING BEAUTY (2); 3rd – QUEENS MUSIC (4.5/1 F) (4); 4th - DORIS DUKE (3); 5th – TEQUILA BLUSH (11)
