When it was announced that Graham Beck had obtained the services of Spectrum
for his Highlands operation in South Africa, one really had to pinch oneself. The
decision to purchase the son of Rainbow Quest was vindication enough that the
bloodstock arena in South Africa had finally turned the corner.
Highlands Farm has been producing the goods for many years and as one of
leading farms in the country the stud principle, Graham Beck has now
invested a pretty penny into its operation in order ensure that the legendary
farm continues to maintain its high standard and status in South Africa as a
leader. The beautiful
Robertson farm located in the heart of horse country, now has one of the
Northern Hemispheres premier sons standing on its grounds. A sire of Grade 1
winners in both hemispheres and producing quality stock day in day out, the
stunning Spectrum will no doubt be a horse South Africa breeders will support
for a long time to come. From the famed Northern Dancer cross, he is sure to
suit the majority of mares in this country.
Having produced the English classic winner, Golan and thereafter numerous
others of grade 1 distinction, he is sure to leave his mark on the breeding
ranks in South Africa. He will most definitely upgrade his mares and he looks
likely to produce the future champions of South Africa.
He is indeed, "The Fastest Son of Rainbow Quest and the perfect cross for Northern Dancer
line mares".
The rainbow nation salutes the acquisition of a truly world class stallion.
Due to Graham Beck and Highlands Farm, South Africa is the richer!
