The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 23 April 2018, Jockey Sean Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of SEATTLE SKYLINE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SIR BERNADINI (AUS) at approximately the 900m in Race 8 at Greyville Racecourse on 8 April 2018.

Jockey Veale pleaded guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Jockey Veale guilty of the charge and imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days.

Jockey Veale has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
