Mpume Mjoka on the Mend!

5th year Apprentice Mpume Mjoka is well and truly on the road to recovery from his leg injury that he suffered a few months ago. Mpume is off his crutches and has 2 weeks of physiotherapy under his belt. Today he was accompanied by Academy Nursing Sister, Deborah Butt, to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon, and the prognosis is good. Sister Butt, explained that there is still a long road to recovery ahead for Mpume, but so far everything is going well and the Specialist is happy with his progress thus far!
The likeable and popular young apprentice has an incredibly positive attitude, saying “injuries are part of professional sport and I’m going to work hard to come back stronger than ever!” Mpume will continue with his physiotherapy going forward and will tomorrow being working on his rehabilitation with Academy Biokineticist Chloe Tucker. After three weeks of physiotherapy and rehabilitation sessions, Mpume will return to the Specialist for another assessment and check-up.
Mpume admits he is getting very bored at home and has mastered every board game in existence, but never misses a day’s racing on Tellytrack, saying “I miss racing and riding a lot, but by watching it on TV, I can stay in touch the horses and see my friends racing and winning!”
