Double Domeyer Rocks Hong Kong

On a balmy night in Hong Kong, the faithful at the Happy Valley course were rocked by some South African magic as Aldo Domeyer rode them to sleep winning two well judged races against some of the best in the world in the most competitive racing environment anywhere.

The son of the jockey legend in South Africa Andrew Fortune, Domeyer showed Hong Kong his skills on the two Tony Millard runners.

The first winner was onboard Prance Dragon a short head decision victor as was the second win aboard Arcada from a good draw but by no means a certainty. He switched for a run on the inside at the business end on Arcada and got to the line in style beating home two others who finished short head short head. It was no secret in the media when he was announced as a club jockey for a 3 month stint and he showed the faith the jockey club have placed in him.

Hong Kong is a tough environment and this by no means seals his future in Hong Kong but it does place him firmly in the minds of the very influential owner base.
