Tarry was thrilled post race in his interview and gave the media some interesting information about the career of Chimichuri Run.

However he started off by having lots to say about his amazing jockeys, especially for Raymond Danielson who rode his fourth Group 1 1 for Tarry. He complimented Danielson for his excellent hands and ability. 

Tarry was equally complimentary to stable jockey Lyle Hewitson who took one for the team and stuck with Trip To Heaven over the stable elect Chimichuri Run.

An emotional Chris Van Niekerk was thrilled post race and stated that it was magic, a dream come true.

Tarry mentioned in that post race interview that Chimichuri Run, "could have been sold to Hong Kong, he failed the vet." Considering the SAF horses in Hong Kong and their successes, he would have been some additional to the Sprint ranks. However, he won his group 1 in South Africa on the most prestigious day on the Sprint calendar.
