Run Fox Run can Run!

Run Fox Run kept her undefeated record in fine style with a dominant win in the Grade 2 Suthern Cross Stakes.

Brett Crawford’s Australian import for once was outpaced early on as PE raider Princess Rebel tried to repeat her start to finish win of last year.

She set some very fast fractions, followed by Celestial Storm.

The eventual winner was a few lengths off the substantial early speed.

But Anton Marcus angled her out inside the last 200m, and she motored home to win going away by two and a quarter.

The time of 57.19 was only half a second outside the course record

Princess Rebel just got the better of Celestial Storm for second.

Nothing made any impression from off the speed, including Clouds Unfold, who failed to quicken, and trailed in a disappointing sixth beaten almost eight lengths.

“She’s a dream. Something special” said Crawford, before confirming that the Sceptre Stakes, and perhaps then the Cape Flying Championship against the colts would be on her radar.
