Ten On Offer from Ridgemont Highlands

Accomplished Stud Manager Ross Fuller has settled in well at Ridgemont/Highlands, where he spent his first breeding season last year.

Fuller has the pleasure of being alongside 10 exceptional yearlings from the famous Robertson establishment at CPYS 2020, and he is looking forward to assisting buyers.

Rafeef, Ridgemont/Highlands’ talked about new stallion, has two colts in their draft and Fuller told: “They are two super yearlings, both are well-grown and they’re good walkers too. Lot 62 is Darjeeling, a son of Put The Kettle On (Dynasty), the five-time winning half-sister to Royal Italian, and Lot 145 is the second foal of Aneefa, by Encosta De Lago. He’s pedigree is even more impressive; he hails from a family of Australian Graded winners.”

Fuller’s personal favourite is Lot 67, a colt by Dynasty from Red Kaschka (Elliodor), who has produced five winners from as many runners, including the 11-time winner Red Barrel. Aptly named, “Top Quality”, he is described as “a lovely, big colt with lots of improvement in him. He’s a very good walker, he comes out ‘flowing’ “.

Lot 165 is a Dynasty colt born from Chevauchee, a High Chaparral mare who sprinted very well, winning two Listed races. “He’s a close-coupled first foal from a sprinting mother, another good walker,” Fuller assessed.

Gimmethgreenlight’s son Silent War (Lot 40), is a racy sort. His dam, Nona In Command (Commands), has previously produced Pretty Young Thing (Jackson), a speedy, Gr2-placed filly. “There is proven speed here, this one should have an early start,” said Fuller.

The farm’s variety stretches further to a Soft Falling Rain colt (Lot 120), bred from the promising Gr3-winning mare Valdivia (VAR(), whose two previous foals Alramz (Grade 2-placed) and Seville (3 wins) are both decent runners. “He’s a strong, good quality foal and he should come early too.”

Also well worth mentioning is Lot 200, a “good-walking, well-balanced son of Trippi and Fascinating Filly, who was listed placed.” He is a nicely balanced bay colt named “Unique Power”.

Fuller said that the unnamed Ridgemont/Highlands colt by William Longsword (Lot 219) from the well-related Key Bluff (Qui Danzig), was “a ringer for his sire, a really nice colt”.
