The ruling favourite of the Durban July, Belgarion, has drawn a horrid 17, second widest of all.

The Snaith team of runners, in general, picked up some of worst draws with Silvano's Pride at 15 and Do It Again at 18. The defending champion will have to be very good to win from that wide draw but the widest draw has not been unkind in the past.
There is no doubt that will be little relief for the stable. Anton Marcus onboard is a positive though.

Golden Ducat and Rainbow Bridge have had the opposite luck with the Sands runners finding 1 and 2 respectively. They both have outstanding chances.
