The Club’s Chief Medical Officer has advised that Jockey Matthew M F Poon, who was dislodged from THE ELITES at last night’s Happy Valley race meeting, has sustained chest injuries which include rib fractures.

The CMO has further advised that Jockey Poon will remain in hospital for several days whilst he undergoes further treatment in order to recover from these injuries.

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in relation to Jockey Poon’s fitness to be able to resume riding.
