Spectators to Return to UK races on Wednesday

Spectators will be able to return to the racecourse when the national lockdown in England ends on Wednesday after Ludlow, Lingfield, Kempton and Haydock all fell into regions under the Tier 2 government coronavirus restrictions.

This will enable up to 2,000 spectators or 50 per cent capacity, whichever is lower, to attend under measures outlined by the government last week, the first time paying spectators have been able to attend the racecourse since March, barring two spectator pilots in September.

No racecourses have fallen into the Tier 1 areas, which are Cornwall, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly.
