Earth Hour Victorious

Trainer Juan Nel can proudly boast victory for Earth Hour ridden by jockey Luyolo Mxothwa  in the second leg of the World Sports Betting East Cape Poly Challenge over 1400 at Fairview.

This brings a total stake of R707000 for this gelding.

The R250000 bonus for winning all three legs can’t be won, as Viking Moon who won the first leg, had to settle for third in the second leg of Poly Challenge.

Marmara Sea outran his stablemate Viking Moon and finished a close second.

The top three runners finished with under 0.35 lengths separating them.

The R50000 consolation bonus is said to be paid out under the condition that the potential winner must participate in all three legs and win at least one.

Until then Viking Moon is the leader on the log and if he remains on form he is a big runner.

Points allocation for the consolation bonus leaderboard are: 1st 10, 2nd 6, 3rd 4, 4th 3, 5th 2 and 6th.

The final leg will take place on 7 May.
