Big Friday for Global Drummer

A big weekend for South African horse racing starts here at Fairview on the turf track today with the Listed East Cape Nursery over 1200m the highlight of the meeting, writes Henk Steenkamp.

Only six runners will face the starter but it should be a fascinating race, with the Cape Town raider Silver Salmon, trained by Glen Kotzen, the favourite to take the gold.
The Gavin Smith coupling of Norton Sound and Cruzador look ready for big challenges, with Kotzen naming Norton Sound as the biggest danger to the favourite.

There are 8 races on the card and the feature is race 7 at 16:00.
The first race is off at 12:30 and gets the Bipot underway.
It should be great racing, catch it on Tellytrack (Dstv channel 249)
