United States based Jockey Tomas Mejia received a 10-year suspension, US$5,000 fine from the Stipendiary stewards at Monmouth Park (state of New Jersey) for possessing what would be known as an electrical device in race 7 on the 3rd of September.

It was also advised by the stewards to permanently remove Mejia's license. This was recommended to the New Jersey Commission.
