Star Jockey Joao Moreira has decided that he wants to leave Hong Kong and has subsequently abruptly halted his journey.

The much loved jockey has had a tough time with dealing with rg lockdown situation in Hong Kong previously and has encountered various health obstacles of late.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club released a brief statement, "The Licensing Committee has approved an application received from Jockey Joao Moreira to withdraw his licence issued by the Club for the 2022/23 racing season, with immediate effect."
