South Africa had five races in the World's Top 100 list of 2022.

The Kzn Winter Season played host to 3 of those races including the Durban July, Champions Cup and the Gold Challenge. All three were rated as equal in 85th spot. Ironically these three were rated higher than the historic Epsom Derby.

The Queen's Plate came in at 93 on the list with the best race in South Africa being the Cape Town Met. That ranked at joint 67.
