Graham Lee is in intensive care after an incident at Newcastle resulted in an unstable cervical fracture.
The 47-year-old jockey, unseated during a sprint handicap, suffered spinal cord damage and other complications.
Described as "very serious," his condition is being closely monitored at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The Injured Jockeys Fund stated that an MRI revealed the unstable cervical fracture, spinal cord damage, and blood vessel injuries.
While respiratory support continues, the extent of long-term recovery remains uncertain.
Messages of support from Graham's family are appreciated during this challenging time.
