Equinox to stand for highest fee in Japan

Equinox, recently crowned as the world's top-ranked racehorse and triumphant in the Japan Cup (G1) just last month, is set to be stationed at Shadai Stallion Station in Hokkaido, Japan, for a fee of ¥20 million (approximately US$140,000), as indicated by reports circulating on social media.

Following a spectacular victory in the Japan Cup, where he thrilled over 85,000 fans at Tokyo Racecourse with a remarkable stretch run, Equinox officially retired to stud on November 30.

Notably, the fee for his services is reported to be the highest ever for a freshman sire in Japan.
