Baaeed Headlines Shadwell’s 2026 Stallion Roster at £55,000 ($67,000)

Shadwell has confirmed its 2026 stallion roster and fees, led by the outstanding Baaeed, who commands £55,000 ($67,000) at Beech House Stud. The lineup reflects the operation’s continued commitment to breeding and racing excellence, offering strong value across both the UK and Ireland in an unpredictable market.

Baaeed, the highest-rated racehorse in Europe for more than a decade, remains the cornerstone of the roster. Supported by leading breeders worldwide, he has already covered three exceptional books of mares. His first yearlings made a strong market impact this year, highlighted by sales of €800,000 ($871,000) and 625,000gns ($798,000), reinforcing his reputation as one of the premier young sires in Europe.

Joining him at Beech House Stud are Mohaather (£10,000 ($12,200)) and Mostahdaf (£9,000 ($11,000)). Mohaather’s growing profile as a Group 1 sire was underlined by Big Mojo’s Sprint Cup win and juvenile Cape Orator’s placing in the G1 Criterium International. With further black-type winners like Yah Mo Be There and Merveilleux Lapin, his momentum continues to rise.

Mostahdaf, a dual Group 1 winner of the Juddmonte International and Prince of Wales’s Stakes, saw his first foals meet a warm reception at auction. By Frankel and out of a Stakes-winning Dubawi mare, he combines elite bloodlines and athleticism, offering notable value at £9,000 ($11,000).

At Derrinstown Stud in Ireland, Minzaal remains at €12,500 ($13,600) after his first yearlings fetched up to 550,000gns ($703,000) and 450,000gns ($575,000)—nearly six times his opening fee. The G1 Sprint Cup and G2 Gimcrack winner continues to emulate the success of his sire Mehmas and grandsire Acclamation as a top-tier commercial stallion.

Awtaad, standing at €8,500 ($9,300), enjoyed an exceptional season highlighted by Ethical Diamond’s record-breaking Breeders’ Cup Turf victory, along with new Stakes winners Waterford, Naomi Lapaglia, and Thalara. His consistent ability to produce elite runners at a competitive fee underscores his enduring appeal.
