The Japan Racing Association (JRA) will begin offering a free livestream of all JRA races within Japan from Saturday, March 14, marking the 50th anniversary of telephone and internet betting.
The service will carry the full “Central Horse Racing All Races Broadcast,” previously available only through the subscription-based Green Channel. Viewers will now be able to watch the complete raceday coverage, including paddock commentary and expert analysis, free of charge online.
The broadcast typically runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on race days and covers every race at JRA tracks.
Fans in Japan will be able to watch the stream through three platforms: a newly introduced Green Channel Web free version, the official JRA YouTube channel, and the JRA mobile app, where the broadcast can be accessed through the “Race Live” button.
The livestream will be delivered in high definition up to 1080p (4 Mbps). The JRA confirmed that Green Channel’s existing paid television and streaming services will continue alongside the new free offering.
