The Barbé Cup produced one of the most dramatic finishes of the season as four runners fought out the closing stages, with outsider At My Command prevailing in the final strides to secure the second classic of the campaign for the Gujadhur stable.

Ridden by Mauritian jockey Swapneel Rama, At My Command edged fellow outsider Bugalugs on the line after a perfectly judged ride, succeeding stablemate Itsrainingwilliam as the latest winner of the prestigious contest. The victory also gave Rama his second Barbé Cup success for the Gujadhur operation, following his triumph aboard Ready To Attack in 2017.

Captain Lannister ensured an honest tempo from the outset and still held the field together approaching the home straight, setting the stage for a compelling finish.

As the field fanned out in the closing stages, Rama timed his challenge with precision. His late surge enabled At My Command to deny the fast-finishing Bugalugs in the final stride after both outsiders produced standout performances.

Meridius finished strongly to claim third, while Rapidash made up considerable ground late to secure fourth after closing well over the concluding stages.

Stable Delivers Despite Trainer's Absence

The result carried additional significance for the Gujadhur stable, which celebrated the classic success despite the absence of trainer Mr. Rampatee Gujadhur.

With Mukund Gujadhur assuming training responsibilities on raceday, the stable maintained its recent grip on the Barbé Cup by producing back-to-back winners in the prestigious contest.

The thrilling finish ensured the Mauritius Telecom Barbé Cup lived up to its status as one of the season's premier races, while At My Command's determined victory added another memorable chapter to the Gujadhur stable's classic record.
