To be honest Big City Life has done nthing to prove he belongs in the top 50 racehorses in the world. All he has achieved is win the July from a plumb draw with a handy weight run at a farcically slow pace...... I believe he needs to win the july 2 more times in a row under top weight before he can be considered for this honour.

Bliksem Christiaan, 2 more July's under top weight - not asking for too much are you. To have a horse worthy of top 50 in SA would be most owners dream come true - at least he has done that.

Raymond, I agree with you he is a good horse, but there was a previous poster on this thread who asked why BCL was not in the top 50 in the world, and I answered his question. I still maintain that BCL is short of world class, but he is certainly out of the very top drawer!!! I wish you guys all the best with the coming season. Hope I didn't misconstrue my wording above to say he was not top class, just not world class.....YET!!!!
