WARM WHITE NIGHT SHOWS WHOSE BOSS

On Friday night, Warm White Night did indeed show that he was boss in an impressive Pinnacle Plate race win over the 1000m trip at Turffontein.

The big "but" at the end of the race was the comeback form of the the two long laid off runners, Private Jet and Mythical Flight. Both were off the track for a substantial while with Mythical Flight especially eager in the event to show off his speed while Private Jet played the lesser role in the event. They were both impressive in their comebacks with lots to work with for the respective trainers in the weeks ahead.

It was Warm White Night who showed his class with his come from behind win. In one great sweep, he got rid of this two arch rivals whose jockeys were already  looking for the minor placings by the 200m pole.

Warm White Night was the fittesst, most ready and best prepared on the night but it would be a surprise if the Computerform Sprint result reflected the same as this one.

Meanwhile Imperial Gesture failed to beat Oracy, his stablemate, at Turffontein on Saturday. Going off at 4/10, the stable elect, was beaten by 1.5 lengths after Oracy showed fight in his first win since December. Oracy was the buzz horse of South African racing after six wins on the trot but he was well beaten in the Summer Cup and the J&B Met. He has returned to form in this event with a classy run against his impressive stablemate. He swooped on Impreial Gesture like a good horse and swept past him impressively.
