Gestüt Fährhof resident Lateral will stand the forthcoming southern-hemisphere season at Andreas Jacobs' Maine Chance Farms in the Western Cape.
Lateral, a seven-year-old son of Singspiel, won six of his ten starts, including the Group 1 Gran Criterium at two. An easy six-length victory in the Group 2 Europa-Meile sealed champion German miler honours at three.
Having retired to Fährhof in 2008, Lateral's first offspring are yearlings.He joins Silvano, another Fährhof-South Africa shuttler, and Black Minnaloushe on the Maine Chance roster.
