RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate 1450m Bend

SPECTABOOLOUS has been improving of late. His best run to date was his only run at this track and over the distance when running on. Chance on that run. SUPER BREAK has had three fair runs thus far. Stable and jockey in very good form. SURGING CAPTAIN has a claim on a few moderate runs. SWIFT ARROW has poor form but did show improvement last time. Watch the betting on the first timer GUERMANTES.

RACE 2:Maiden Juvenile Plate (F) 1450m Bend

MON BIJOU has been running on and is well suited to this C & D. Her latest effort was her best when wearing the blinkers for the first time and running on. Should go very close again today. POLISH LADY has had three good runs to date but has been fading in her last two. First time on sand. Could be suited to this surface. ATONEMENT has moderate form but Piere Strydom takes the ride. MAIKO MAGIC  did not show on debut last time but may improve on that. DIZZY RASCAL has far more to do for the win but may place.

RACE 3:Maiden Plate (F & M) 1200m Bend

WILD SWAN returned from an almost year rest last time. She was just caught on the line that day. She should be a far fitter horse today and the balance may have to pick up their feet if they are to catch her this time. PRISMATIC FIRE may be losing form but has claims on earlier better form. MIDNIGHT FEAST has been running on in her last two runs and has been close. However, they were both at Flamingo Park. LOLLOBRIGIDA needs to repeat her penultimate run, which was at Flamingo Park! SHIP'S LANTERN can sneak into the placings.

RACE 4:MR 64 Hcp (F & M) 1000m Straight

JUST A SPARK is holding form well. She was not disgraced against slightly stronger last time and has won this C & D. LOVELY SASH ran on well to win last time. She has only won this distance but has yet to show at this track. KASKA needs to repeat her KZN form. Good chance if doing so. SARAH SMILLIE is improving and was running on last time. Is C & D suited. CROWN PRINCESS won her maiden this C & D last time. May need to confirm.

RACE 5:MR 90 Hcp 1200m Bend

SHOWROOM has faced stronger and has been racing over further. He is well suited to this C & D and can go close here. Stable (Paul Matchett) and jockey (Marthinus Minnie) are in good form.  SPEED KEEPER enjoys this track. Piere Strydom rides for the first time. Form is good and has a chance. KZN raider NOTFORPUBLICATION has had his last two runs at this track and must rate a good chance on his penultimate start this C * D. ALWAYS has steady form but has not set the world alight. BOWNORE is another with steady form but does perform well at this C & D. FUZZY CUZZY has faced far stronger and was running on last time. Has a chance despite the mass and draw.

RACE 6:MR 75 Hcp 1200m Bend

RIGHT ROYAL MAN runs on and has only placed or won at this track. Could be rewarded for consistency but is drawn widest. Another KZN raider, WILLIAM GRANT, also runs on well and even though he has had only one run at this track, looks as though he could feature in the shake up. Goes well over the 1200m. CAPTAINJACKSPARROW (Charles Laird) may need to confirm his narrow debut maiden win. That win was an impressive one. BILLY ELLIOT has begun to improve again. PRIME MOVER has only won over the distance and is also C & D suited. Has lost his way ever so slightly but can place at best.

RACE 7:MR 90 Hcp 1600m Bend

HUP-TWO-THREE has come right back into form and has of late been finding extra in the closing stages. PARADE PRINCE ran a disappointing race last time after having shown good form before that. If at best, he will rate a very good chance. GENTLEMANS CLUB has shown improvement since his maiden win five runs back. Certainly worth a shout. OZZIE DUDE is never too far back. He has won and placed over the distance but has yet to try the sand. GLADIUS is most consistent. He was unlucky last time when finishing two-and-a-half lengths back to Fun To Run. Could make amends.

RACE 8:MR 73 Hcp 1600m Bend

CANTABRO showed good improvement last time when running on to win this C & D. That was an impressive win and he could follow up. STARSTRUCK is most consistent and runs well over the "mile".  ZEBULON is beginning to show more consistency. After twenty nine runs he has yet to try the sand! NOMAFASHINI has been consistent but needs to find far more to win this. KING'S DESTINY may be finding some improvement and could just about sneak in, but would be a surprise winner.
