RACE 1:Maiden Juvenile Plate 1200m Straight

NEEDLES AND PINS was very poor last time after a smart debut over 1000m. Last time may have been too far and could have any excuse. In this field he can go well. ZEE CAT is the most consistent in the race and he should make a race of it. MINISHKA made a nice debut last time out and on expected improvement she should have a chance. CLASSIC SPEED and WAGING WAR are both first timers who could be anything. Watch the betting on these fancies.

RACE 2:Maiden Plate 1800m Bend

MILLION MILES was never too far off in the Mike De Kock yard and now comes to the region in a rather weak field with a light weight being a 2 year old. Watch for a big run. ARETE is never beaten too far and despite trying for the 23rd time here she should have a chance. CLASSTASY improved well last time and if he confirms the run he can go close. Last time he beat SOCIAL MASTER who is overdue a win. His form is handy and can run well. ONE BRYANT PARK may have been outclassed last time in a feature but back here he can pop up.

RACE 3:Novice Plate 1800m Bend

GIANT DREAMER is so well in at the weights its frightening. She carries 54.5 here and on her last run where she was beaten under 4 lengths by a very useful sort makes her a strong bet. CRIMSON SAILS was very poor in his post maiden run but back at the track he can go well. VAE VICTUS wasn't beaten too far last time out by a resurgent Count Ivanski. On that form he can show a big race. ADMIRAL CAMDEN needs to repeat his penultimate run to have any chance.

RACE 4:Graduation Plate 1200m Straight

APOLO GREY won a very strong race last time out and back in this class he should be stronger. He has run with much stronger and is well handicapped to win it. LT SAMSON is also highly rated but on his recent form he needs to improve. This is his 2nd run after a rest though so may improve. SLAINTE has some nice form lately and she could represent some value. TEST ACT hacked in last time out and can follow up on that effort. PIVOTAL SUPPORT never raised a gallop last time out but on more recent form he can shoe a nice effort.

RACE 5:MR 88 Hcp 1000m Straight

LIBERATED has some top form running with stronger. She seems to run best at Fairview as well. BANDOL was on a run of 4 wins in a row. Last time though he was well beaten but if he had excuses he should make amends. SENJOR JOSH has run well to the now legendary Hear The Drums and on those runs he must be involved. SNOW DRIFT is top weight here and is very consistent. He can't be left out. ZILI ran her first bad race in a hell of a long time last time beaten by only 4 lengths. She should be with them.

RACE 6:MR 76 Hcp 1000m Straight

HAIL THE DUKE had excuses last time out. He was running well before that and the top weight can prove the one to beat. SCULPTOR has come off a break now and although he runs well fresh it would be too big a risk to back him for the win. KAHAL STREET makes his local debut. His KZN form was decent and should run a big race. WATER IS GOLD has come back to form in his last two runs. She may find a way into the frame again. THE FORM has minor money claims. BIG DRUMMER has also been added.

RACE 7:MR 83 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

AUSTRALIAN JOLLY was beaten well last time out but her form prior to that was very encouraging. At her low weight here she could prove big value. DIVINE QUEST has won her last two runs and on that form she has to be taken seriously. GOLD SHELTER made amends last time after a shocking penultimate effort. She has a chance here. DETZKY'S DARLING is rather unpredictable. If she is right she could well win this. PEPPERPOT looks the best of the rest.

RACE 8:MR 67 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

ROXIE HEART is the form of the race. Her last run was a good run and over this extra she will be better. INVERNESS has consistent form. She may also be best over this trip and must be given a chance. CASEY'S GIFT has won her last two but comes off a rest. She seems to run well fresh and has to be respected. CAFE SUPREME won her maiden two runs back and wasn't beaten far last time. She is a reserve runner though. MATRIARCHAL needs to come back to best.
