FREDDY'S SISTER (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) made a very smart debut last time. Were it not for the fact that he switched out at the 200m mark she would have won.  GIRL'S BEST FRIEND showed good improvement last time. SOLID SISTER (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) showed up in her debut run last time when staying on. Good chance. ISABELLA ISLAND (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius) makes her debut. Daughter of Western Winter. Watch the betting. The daughter of Jet Master, STAR JET also makes her debut.

RACE 2:Juvenile Plate 1400m Bend

KING OF PAIN (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) ran very well in the Cape Nursery last time. That was his post maiden and t6hat came after an impressive win on debut the time before. Will be better suited to the extra. Stable companion, BLACK CORAL won his maiden last time. May need confirmation. SHEPHERDS PURSE is still a maiden but has fair form. PARISIAN BOLT is also a maiden but is improving. NOVEMBER RAIN (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) won his maiden at the second attempt last time. May need to confirm.

RACE 3:Juvenile Plate (F) 1400m Bend

EARTH'S ORBIT (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) won her maiden comfortably last time. That was at the third attempt but had good form prior to that run. Chance on overall form. SHE'S GOT IT (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) had a fair post maiden run last time but tailed off late. SUNSET GIRL (Justin Snaith/Karl Neisius) just got up to win her maiden last time over this C & D. Has a winning chance. RIVER TIGRIS (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) ran on well to win her maiden as well last time over the distance at Durbanville.. HICKORY HILL (Joey Ramsden) is still a maiden but is improving.

KISS AND TELL (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has very good maiden form with three seconds and two thirds from her five starts. Go close. GUEST EL GRANDE also has very good maiden form but is drawn wide. Karl Neisius rides. NUNAVIK will have more to find but has a money chance. STARLIGHT BEAUTY will need to repeat her penultimate start when running on. TRIPLE BOUQUET (Brett Crawford/Karis Teetan) made a very fair debut last time and may improve.

RACE 5:MR 87 Hcp 1600m Bend

SPY GLASS (Glen Kotzen) is currently in good form and has faced slightly stronger. CAPE TOWN has moved from Durban and makes her Cape Town debut. Has decent KZN form, especially over this distance. STUNNING TIGER is holding form well. Karl Neisius has the ride. Won going away last time. C & D suited. GREAT KALI runs well this C & D but is a bit off form. Glen Hatt rides. BAROSSA VALLEY could be coming back to form.

RACE 6:MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

AIM OF THE GAME is battling for her second win but she takes a considerable drop in class. Chance at the weights. JAZELLE ran a fair post maiden effort last time but faded late. ADOBE PINK is inconsistent. may improve with Richard Fourie up. REAL TABASCO could be losing form but has a chance if at best. TIGER'S JOY is also battling for her second win.

RACE 7:MR 70 Hcp (F & M) 1400m Bend

COSMIC FLOWER raced well against much stronger last time and has a shout in this moderate field. Ran on well and is well drawn. Only win was this C & D. OPEN MY EYES (Vaughan Marshall/MJ Byleveld) showed improvement last time when running on. Good chance. WINGS OF FORTUNE (Glen Kotzen/Karis Teetan) ran on to win against slightly weaker last time. Unbeaten this C & D (2 from 2). Only wins this C & D. Don't ignore. PROMPTER (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) has steady form but drawn wide. ABBEY CREEK had consistent form before racing wide last time.

CRYSTAL GLITTER (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) has steady maiden form but lacks strong finish. MYSTERE (Dean Kannemeyer/Karl Neisius)  showed some improvement last time. Watch over the extra trip. ACONCAGUA (Mike Bass/Richard Fourie) has decent form but runs her best races when running on. PRINCESSJACQUELINE has steady form. Should not be cast aside in this race. GILLY FILLY (Joey Ramsden/Glen Hatt) could start improving.

ROARING WIND (Glen Kotzen) ran on strongly last time. That was his best effort to date. Will go close if repeating. COMMODORE PETE (Justin Snaith/Richard Fourie) is only a two-year-old but there is not much to beat and his form looks decent. Should run into the money. DE LA REY (Mike Bass/Bernard Fayd'Herbe) was badly checked last time. Has been expensive to follow. Chance on previous form. JAMIE LEE JET has the blinkers go on this afternoon. Down a bit in trip. Karl Neisius rides. REEL BEAT has had three decent runs and should not be too far off them. may prefer 1000m though.
