PREVIEW:GREYVILLE (TURF & POLYTRACK) (DAY & NIGHT) - 27 JULY 2014

WALTZED HOME made a good debut last time on the polytrack despite being baulked in the home straight. Should run well this afternoon. COMMODITY STRIKE has good form. Ran on well last time. First time at this track. MONEY DOESN'T COUNT found a decent finish last time on this surface. ROCKY BAY is never far back. Good track debut last time. POLAR PALACE could better than his two runs in features.

IMPERIAL FABERGE was finishing better than most last time. Chance on that run. CARIBBEAN BAY has a decent shout on her form over the distance. Blinkers are on. Latest run was disappointing though. INDIGO CHILD has been slow away of late. Ran on nicely against weaker last time. CHERRY TRIPPER shows good pace but weakens. All but one of her twenty four runs has been over the 1000m. ROCKET LADY has either won or placed only over the distance. Weakened last two.

INTANDOKAZI raids from Gauteng. Has finished second in his last three starts. Had his excuses last time. Will be finishing well and has run second on four occasions in seven starts. ZANTE appears most likely to challenge. Showed some improvement in her second start last time. Takes on the boys. EAST OF CORK weakened over shorter last time but could improve. Both SUN ON AFRICA and CAPRIVI STRIP would be shock winners even in an eight horse field!

TARGET FIVE will be running on and has some very good form. JAY POWER showed improvement last time. Sets a decent pace. Fought back last time. NORDIC JET drops in class but has his issues at the start. INNATE QUALITY is never far back and does do his best work late. VICTORY EMBLEM is one that may surprise on his latest run when showing good improvement.

ALBORAN SEA lost her unbeaten record in a Grade 1 race at the same track last time Excuses for that run. Should make amends for that run but will have BILATERAL to beat who finished strongly to lower the colours of ALBORAN SEA last time. Has won over the extra before and is certainly not going to start at odds of 50/1 this afternoon. GREY LIGHT was not disgraced in her post maiden effort in the same race. Was finishing well. CARRY ON ALICE is not as her last race in the same Grade 1. Raced wide into the home straight. PINE PRINCESS has done everything right with three wins and two short placed placed places. Will be finishing well. The extra should suit.

AFRIKABURN has made an excellent start to his career with three unbeaten runs. Is slow to start but quick to finish. Maybe we haven't seen the best of him yet. MLJET is unbeaten after two and has an excellent late burst. Still improving. HARRY'S SON finished just over a length behind AFRIKABURN last time. Not out of it this time. ANJAAL ran well in his post maiden in the Golden Horse behind AFRIKABURN last time. JAYYED is still a maiden but ran a good race in the Golden Horse last time.

WAVIN' FLAG ran on strongly in the Gold Vase last time. In another few strides he may have overtaken HOT TICKET. Should be right there again if repeating. HOT TICKET was superbly ridden last time. He has won over this distance at Kenilworth. Will be a popular winner. WILD ONE will be doing his best work late and finished just behind HOT TICKET in third place last time. ALEXANDER has been prepared for this race. Has good form. MASTER SABINA won well in the consolation July last time. Will get the extra. CANTERBURY TALE has been improving after his rest. Would cause an upset but respect.

ONE COOL DUDE will be doing his best work late. Has won three from five this distance. Good each way value. FUTURA did some low lying flying in the July last time. The class horse of the race and should earn the utmost respect. Won the Betting World 1900 three runs back. The one to beat. KILLUA CASTLE won a good race in Gauteng last time. Could feature if taking to the Greyville track. TELLINA ran a cracker in the July last time. A repeat of that run could see him feature again. The run in the July could have taken something out of him. Could be asking too much again this afternoon.

JET AGLOW has finished well in her last two starts. May be found wanting this distance. Good classy sort though. TOUCH THE SKY should be the one to challenge. Has done well in staying feature events. Has won this trip and will be staying on. SHINGWEDZI also has good staying form and will also be doing her best work late. JET BELLE did not show in the July. Better form before that. SUPREME SUNSET will be finishing well. May have more to do for the win.

GULF STORM has shown good pace in his last two and runs well over the sprints. MR WHATEVER finished well to win last time against some useful sorts. can repeat. SCHIFFER meets MR WHATEVER at 1kg better terms for a three quarters of a length beating. Could reverse the result. EDDIE SWEAT is never far back but meets MR WHATEVER on level terms. KINGSTON BOY will be running on and has good form.

EXELERO has begun to find his form from last KZN season when he showed promise. Has had a good season and should go close. Another Cape Town horse, OTTIMO, has good form and should run well again. Has finished well in his last two. LAKE ARTHUR has been improving slowly. Has been running on. CAPRICORN RIDGE has run on in his last two. Money chance. NIGHT TRIP has the blinkers and Anton Marcus on.

CIRCLE OF SPEED has finished well in his last two. Should give another good account of herself. ETHYLENE finished well when just behind FUTURA in late April. Must come into the race with a chance on that effort. APPLE 'N SPICE finished well when winning against a similar field last time. Could have more to find at the weights. ISWITHI looks to be coming back to form. DIRTYDEALIN MAMMA may be better in Gauteng at the moment. Could pop up.
